Since the early eighties Dirk Da Davo has been a driving force in the Belgian (and European) flourishing electronic scene with his first project The Neon Judgement. This retrospective album gives an idea of the scope of the work, as well as the trajectory made sound wise, from the early solo sessions of the 80s to current material! Here's already a preview as it will be out the 10th of April!

Meanwhile, starting from the late 1980s, he began to branch out, starting with the release of a solo EP “Where Even Angels Fall” and later revamping himself under the guise of 'Neon Electronics', as well as even starting a record label as Dancedelic- D, which, apart from Neon Electronics and The Neon Judgement's work, also featured releases from artists such as Radical G or The Horrorist (let alone releases of collaborations with the likes of The Hacker and Jean-Marie Aerts (JMX) (formerly of TC Matic).

Nowadays relocated to sunny Spain after such a long time in the spotlight, Dirk Da Davo, as himself and with no more project names attached, more recently launched a number of new material , often incorporating elements in collaboration with others, such as the Mexican bass and slide guitarist Sanchez (under the DD SANCHEZ flag) and the co-production with Jean-Marie Aerts ( JMX) under DDDJMX.

The album starts with the catchy King of Fools: a cool American minded guitar (think of Twin Peaks) and really nice and sexy vocals

OZZ (feat DDDJMX, with Jean-Marie Aerts (JMX)) mixes electronics, industrial and a rock driven sound.

The Unreal mixes an eclectic electronic feel with percussions and good vocals.

Where Even Angels Fall has a touch of old school New Wave. I adore the guitar sound & the synth! The vocals sound like smoked out but fit well in this song.

Sexhead mixes a clear bass guitar with some synths, some electronics and an electric drum.

MEAT CATHEDRAL (feat IF IT MOVES) has a clear New Wave touch, I just don’t like the feel of “the vocals have been recorded in a cave”, but the song sounds very promising.

157 (NEON ELECTRONICS) sounds like a cool retro New Wave track with some French words in it to seduce the French fans. I can feel the spirit of The Neon Judgement in it.

Strive has a nice retro touch (when listening to it now) and cool vocals. I adore the mix of the guitar, the electronic drums and the synth.

CITIES IN DUST (feat. DD SANCHEZ) is not a Siouxsie and the Banshees cover but comes close to a Siglo XX version of this song. The extra vocals are cool

IN DREAMS (feat DDD Program) sounds really modern and ready for clubland! I’m pretty sure DJ’s will adore it! Feel the beat, enjoy the high tempo and start raving!
