Dani Hart is a powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, and vocal performance coach lighting up the heavy rock and hard rock scene. Originally from Chile and now based in Belgium, Dani’s music delivers an explosive mix of raw emotion, unapologetic grit, and a commanding stage presence that draws comparisons to artists like Lzzy Hale, The Pretty Reckless, and The Warning. On top of all that I can confirm that she has real stage power and converted me into a fan after her passage at Graspop Metal Meeting 2024!
Her latest EP, Slaying Bluebeard, is a fierce and unapologetic exploration of empowerment and resilience. Featuring legendary bassist Billy Sheehan on the standout track “No More,” which earned Classic Rock Magazine’s “Best New Rock Song of the Week,” the record cements Dani’s position as a rising force in rock. Adding to her accomplishments, Dani performed at Graspop 2024, one of Europe’s most iconic metal and rock festivals.
With thunderous vocals, electrifying energy, and a fearless presence, Dani Hart creates music that commands attention. Whether she’s igniting crowds with her powerful live performances or guiding others to unleash their voices as a vocal coach, Dani is here to inspire and amplify a new wave of rock and resilience.
“Slaying Bluebeard” is a fierce, unapologetic journey through resilience, empowerment, and the untold stories of women. Inspired by the folk tale “Bluebeard,” as retold by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, this EP slashes through the inner doubts and external forces that hold us back, reclaiming strength and autonomy in every note.
Crafted with the artistry of top-tier musicians, including Zan Geeraerts and Anton Mergaerts on guitars, Vincent Verstreppen on drums, and Vincent De Laat on bass, the EP was brought to life at Project Zero Studio and Studio Breeze Inc. with producers Anton Mergaertsand Yarne Heylen shaping its explosive energy.
“Slaying Bluebeard” isn’t just music—it’s a battle cry for self-discovery, a challenge to societal norms, and a testament to rising above adversity. This heavy rock collection is a call to arms for those ready to unleash their power and claim their voice.
So far for all the info, let’s talk get over to the actual review:
Running is the first track and sounds like a hot blues rocker with Dani’s smoke out vocals on top (but also getting the high tones right and showing off her powerful vocals). I can hear a very international and top professional sound. It’s clear that this is not a hobby project, but the real stuff! I like the drive and the complete production! I also hear a great band playing on her side! So: nothing but great stuff here!
After I’m Gone has been launched as a single and since then this song has been part of my personal playlist. It’s deeply touching power ballad where she can prove you she has a great voice and dito band behind her. I have no clue if a lot of radio shows played it but I really hope they did (and still do): this song is the perfect introduction song! Let yourself be blown out of your shoes! Gives me goosebumps!
No More (featuring the iconic Billy Sheehan): setting unapologetic boundaries. I enjoyed it during the Graspop Metal Meeting 2024 and still feel the on stage vibe! It’s clearly a must have song! I can’t say this is not true (on the contrary): “The thunderous riffs, powerful rhythms, and Dani Hart’s commanding vocal presence create an electrifying soundscape that’s as bold as the stories it tells. (promo talk about the EP)”.
Millennial Tribe: is a call for unity in a polarized world. The song bridges the rising influence of the millennial generation with the timeless wisdom of ancient cultures. It celebrates humanity’s shared purpose, transcending cultural, political, and gender divides to tackle global challenges with collective strength and responsibility. It’s a soft rocker with a sweet layer.
Only 4 songs, but you will want more once you have listened to them all. It’s clear this is not just a hobby project, but one of the first stones of a long and great career. It’s nothing more but a great and very professional EP, launching the artist into space! Can’t wait to see her on stage again (hence, why not again at Graspop on the main stage)!
