Cyrax, the Italian progressive rock/metal band, is back with the first of three releases, all in the form of EPs. Starting in late December 2025 and continuing through 2026, the band will release three EPs that will ultimately form a single album.
The title of this first EP, out on December 25, 2025, is "Aeneis: Libri I-IV" and will recount the events between Books I and IV of the Aeneid. This is the band's first concept album centered on the figure of Aeneas, featuring the band's usual relentless pursuit of innovation and self-discovery, sung in Latin with lyrics by Virgil. After the successful launch of the ethnic album "Novo Deus", sung in 17 languages, the band is looking to push the envelope, offering a successful blend of musical genres ranging from reggae, drum 'n' bass, metalcore, punk, and more. The band has signed a promotion deal for these three EPs with Broken Bones Promotion & Productions. The mixing was handled by multi-instrumentalist and composer Lorenzo Beltrami. The mastering was handled by Alessandro Del Vecchio (Jorn, Hardline, Glenn Hughes), a regular collaborator with the band since 2020.
