Another great day for the Belgian label GIO SMET RECORDS, as they sign yet another high quality band! CRYSTAL TEARS, a metal band that managed to leave their mark as one of the most hard working and qualitative Greek metal acts. Since the first albums, it didn't took long until they shared stages with international acts, conquered quite a few polls and got airplayed in metal radio stations around the globe. Their third masterpiece was nominated No1 best Massacre Records' album on its year of release. It initiated their first European tour (with Mystic Prophecy), followed by their own headline Greek tour plus a few more extended shows with axeman Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind)
Now, CRYSTAL TEARS joins GIO SMET RECORDS to release “ATHANATO” on physical format on March 13th(pre-orders start on February 13th)!
Their fifth installment with the epic title "Athanato" portrays some of the darkest and most extreme side of Crystal Tears. From fast-paced aggressive numbers to the most catchy melodies. Involving international guests with different music background, it's all combined and destined to make a multidimensional album ahead of its time. Mixed and mastered by Matt Hyde in London, UK (Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Kreator etc.) the band sounds as huge, as fresh and as inspired as ever! The quintet delivers high quality metal dedicating heart and soul.
With this news, CRYSTAL TEARS also relaunch the existing “BLOODSTORM” official music video by Scott Rudd. Featuring George Simeonidis of the legendary Greek heavy metal pioneers Sarissa and Mike Wead of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate and Memento Mori!
The “BLOODSTORM” track received a Grammy Awards Consideration for “Best Metal Performance”!
