If there is one band I really loved int post-punk/New Wave style from Wallonia then it’s without any doubt: Dresscode! Whenever I can I drop their name If I can pitch them! They are the ultimate dream team! Enjoy their great music and dito vocals! They set the good example and show others how high the standard is set!

Dresscode is a musical plunge into the heart of the night, tinged with melancholy feelings about love, hyper-consumerism and human distress. Above all, it's about 2 Belgian musicians keen to experiment with the melodic possibilities offered by the combination of darker rock and electronics. David Brichard, on vocals, distils a deep voice tinged with nostalgia. Fred Hyat adjusts his guitars to sound like synthesizers. They are accompanied on stage by drummer Florian Gilot. An airy, hypnotising sound floods each track with a sadness that is inseparable from the band's identity. It's all about letting go against a backdrop of lyrics that are rarely filled with wonder, the fruit of reflection deep in the subconscious and personal experience. Born in 2019, Dresscode is the story of a reunion based on a shared passion for music and an uncontrollable desire to get back on stage.

Hide Away: is an emotional post punk track, filled with pathos! It’s a strong one. I adore the piano and the softer parts. The studio work really sounds like a match made in heaven! This is pure gold and radio stuff! I hope Radio Willy and co are reading this report too!

Lazy: has nothing to do with the title: it’s a fuelled post punk rocker with a great synth sound and hot guitar play, next to wonderful and strong vocals. The production is simply amazing!

Get Rid Of Fears: Enjoy this new catchy song (first single from this EP) with beautiful and very melancholic vocals. What is more amazing is that this is a French speaking band and you even don't spot a slice of a French accent (Right said Fred! You see it’s possible!? The ultimate dream for French speaking people who sing in English!)! The global sound is like as if done in the Abbey Road studio in London: very professional and really great! Can't even imagine this is made in Belgium! So enjoy!

Follow Me:  What to expect? Nice guitars, a great lead singer, a catchy sound, a great synth, the perfect tempo ... It's radio material! We Loooove it! Share the love with us and spread it all over the world as they deserve it! Count me in as a fan! This is the second single from this EP. The track evokes the difficulty of revealing one's feelings about love, of daring to express them despite the fear of rejection and indifference. It can take years, between hope and pain, before the words come out.

Follow Me is the final act, the meeting where everything is said. Is it the final conversation or the beginning of a great story? The outcome is rarely positive, because true love is not born of unspoken words and an inability to communicate. Coming face to face, on the other hand, is a wonderful chance to set the record straight, to finally turn the page once and for all. The memories remain, but the pain is gone. Follow Me is a catchy rock anthem enhanced by electro. The mix is by Charles de Schutter (Ghinzu, Girls in Hawaï, Vismets, ...).

The Flame: starts with a piano sound and a bit of electronics and builds up slowly. It’s a very emotional song with highs and lows.

It’s an exceptional EP: great in all it facets! Produced like as if it was done in Abbey Road! Make it listen to 1.000 people and almost nobody will tell you it’s a Belgian artist! This is clearly radio material and must see on stage! Give them the push needed: buy the EP, book them, play their music … This is it! Belgian band of the year and a great example for other bands within this genre!
