Having played Etropolis Festival, iconic Wave Gotik Treffen and Darkness Festival, german synth/electro act CHROM now drops the third song off his forthcoming new record. With "Beyond The Trees", CHROM once again delivers an electronic dance hit for radios and clubs. Over the years, CHROM has perfected his unique blend of Synth Pop, EBM and Club-Electro with intense, pervasive beats and danceable melodies that will stay in your ears for days.
CHROM was founded in May 2007 by Christian Marquis and Thomas Winters who had known each other for many years, after they had discovered their shared preference for banging, yet danceable melodic electro sounds. The band name is made up of the first names of the two musicians (CHRis and tOM). CHROM stands for an effective synthesis of synth pop, EBM and club electro, in other words: rich beats, penetrating, powerful bass combined with catchy melodies. The debut album “Electroscope” was released in April 2010 on Fear Section, distributed by Out Of Line Music. Since then, the band has toured several times and have had numerous appearances at prestigious festivals of the scene including Etropolis, WGT, Plage Noir and M’era Luna.
Over time, CHROM have further perfected their characteristic sound between club and electronic pop. Today, Chris is working solo as CHROM, but is no less electrifying. He is currently working on his next album, which will be released soon via Out Of Line Music. Join the Movement!
