Close to the end of their "Still Making Monsters" Tour, Combichrist are back with a gruelling new single & video "Desolation", released via Out Of Line Music. Taking a sharp, melodic turn reminiscent of the Making Monsters era, this track blends electronic elegance with visceral despair, channeling both rage and empathy.
"Desolation" is not just a song, it’s a mourning ritual for the planet. A chilling prophecy set to rhythm, it captures humanity’s parasitic consumption of Earth’s final breath. It tells the story of a sun turning its back on us, letting the world rot in darkness before rising once more over a cleansed and humanless dawn.
Andy LaPlegua shares: “I reached deep into the bones of both Combichrist and Icon Of Coil , not for nostalgia, but to carve a path through the ashes. This is a farewell letter wrapped in static, for a future we no longer deserve.”
"Desolation" stands as a beautifully grim chapter in Combichrist’s evolution, the calm before the collapse, and the soundtrack to what comes after.
