Phantom Elite is fronted by vocalist Marina La Torraca (Brazil), alongside guitarist Max van Esch and drummer Joeri Warmerdam (Netherlands). Together, they bring a fresh intensity to alternative metal, blending heaviness, groove, and dynamic contrasts into a unique genre fusion.
Known for pushing boundaries and delivering high-energy live performances across Europe, Phantom Elite has quickly earned acclaim for their raw power, emotional depth, and unapologetic modern edge—with a bit of a cheeky twist.
Their latest releases have been produced at Treehouse Studio (Bring Me the Horizon, Sleep Token, While She Sleeps, etc.) and at Überlärm Studio (Babymetal, Butcher Sisters, Electric Callboy, etc.), making them a must-hear for fans hungry for bold, genre-defying metal.
Slowburn (ft. SetYourSails) starts with a great bass guitar on the lead and cool screams, once Marina starts to sing the tempo lowers until she takes over with screams and a catchy chorus (revealing the harder side of Phantom Elite).
Nectar sounds like a mix between DeathbyRomy and mister Manson: sweet and yet hard!
Sangre Mala is a nice rager, with some words in her mother language. The breakdown gives the song a sexy touch, but once the relance pops up you get up and start to headbang.
Good Guy is a nice one with lots of variation in the sound and in the tempo as it goes back and forth between hard and soft, clean vocals and harsh screaming with smoking guitars and hard hitting drums.
Well: it was a short trip, but one worth it! With this one Phantom Elite shows they are still alive and aim at a high spot at festivals and is clearly ready for more gigs! I hope they succeed as I already enjoyed their live performance once in Ittre (Zick-Zack)!
