I know this one since the 90’s, seen on stage many times, reviewed a lot too and even interviewed the man behind and always enjoyed it! If there is one guy who can put a smile on my face after a hard day it’s Günther Haegeman! If you enjoy cool 80's electro/wave: this is your thing!
Refurbitch is exactly what the title says: a renewed version of Obverse Reality’s sound (this track has already launched in 2021). The artwork explains what to expect: Cyber/futuristic sounds! His voice sounds completely different from what I’m used from him. The sound is modern, but also a bit spooky. The idea pops up that if you put Technomancer together with Obverse Reality you might get the best duo withing their genre! Towards the end the genre evolves to trance and even into dancefloor orientated.
See through is a female fronted electro track (an older track with new vocals on it: Nathalie). The tempo is good, a bit eclectic.
Scanner is a dancefloor filler with Front 242 influences, but also great ‘80s synth pop layers. The female vocals (Nathalie) are haunting and a bit erotic.
Fashion is not a David Bowie cover, but a nice electrified duet.
Nylon Insta models sounds like Kraftwerk on Speed: a great tempo and a haunting sound. This one might be good on the soundtrack of GTA 6!
Mirrorized mixes eclectic electro with percussions, a good leading female voice and a dark erotic tone. It’s a nice one that already got launched in 2021 with a clip! I adore Sam’s guitar play (it’s a nice extra layer).
Plastika 2024 is a remake from the same song that got out in 1996. It’s a nice duet with the perfect sound: roaring beats and a good tempo! I feel this one is a dancefloor filler!
False: pumping beats, a great tempo, dancefloor orientated electronical sounds whilst a Mexican women (taken from a movie or so, bu oh no: it's also Nathalie) pumps up the track and takes it to a higher level! It’s a great ending for a renewed sound!
Günther Haegeman once again did a great job! I’m happy he’s still going, still alive and kicking! Enjoy his music and hope to see him (once) again back on stage!
