Today, February 27, Dutch psychedelic metal band Cthuluminati releases their second single, “Squid Pro Quo’” a gripping track that explores the sinister deal between the protagonist and the supernatural entity Tentacula.
Temptation and Deception
“Squid Pro Quo” gazes into the allure of power and the steep price one must pay to obtain it. The protagonist is faced with an offer that will change his life forever—limitless supernatural abilities in exchange for his own humanity. What begins as an opportunity for revenge and justice soon spirals into a web of manipulation and deceit. But who truly holds the power—the illusionist, or the force pulling the strings?
A Pulsating, Ominous Journey
Musically, “Squid Pro Quo” reveals another facet of Cthuluminati. The track weaves together rhythmic tension, hypnotic grooves, and mind-bending psychedelia, immersing the listener in a dark and pulsating trance. Elements of black metal, doom, and prog are present, yet twisted into something unearthly and elusive.

With the release of “Squid Pro Quo”, the full unveiling of ‘Tentacula’ draws closer. This album fuses concept, sound, and atmosphere into a hallucinatory listening experience.
