King of Goth Pop Chris Pohl releases new single + creepy video with his iconic band BLUTENGEL. “Angst” carries a haunting, oppressive atmosphere which is expressed in the accompanying music video. Musically underlined with stomping guitars it's one of the darkest, heaviest tracks of the new record.
Chris Pohl about the song:
“This song is about the constant feeling of fear that many people carry within them. Since I'm one of them, I came up with this title. I deliberately mix English and German vocals, as I did on songs like “Nachtbringer”. As it is a personal song, the chorus had to be sung in German with the clear statement: “Ich habe Angst” (“I Am Scared”). The video was shot in a film-like look and shows an oppressive atmosphere in a hotel where the “boss” is a strange, frightening figure."
