Enjoy this new catchy song with beautiful and very melancholic vocals. What is more amazing is that this is a French speaking band and you even don't spot a slice of a French accent! The global sound is like as if done in the Abbey Road studio in London: very professional and really great! Can't even imagine this is made in Belgium! So enjoy!
DRESSCODE are back with a new EP, Under The Surface, due for release in early 2025. To mark the occasion, the Belgian band are releasing Get Rid Of Fears, the first single from their 3rd opus, whose main theme is psychological and physical reconstruction. Like a cry from the heart, Get Rid Of Fears is a clear message to your loved one. Faced with everyday life and family pressures, couples sometimes tend to forget themselves and relegate each other to the background.
Get Rid Of Fears reminds us of the importance of listening to each other, sharing and reinventing ourselves. Talking about all this isn't always easy. There's the fear of not being understood, the anxiety of abandonment. By overcoming these fears in song, the primary aim is to invite us to let go and be happy.
Dresscode is a musical plunge into the heart of the night, tinged with melancholy feelings about love, hyper-consumerism and human distress. Above all, it's about 2 Belgian musicians keen to experiment with the melodic possibilities offered by the combination of darker rock and electronics. David Brichard, on vocals, distils a deep voice tinged with nostalgia. Fred Hyat adjusts his guitars to sound like synthesizers. They are accompanied on stage by drummer Florian Gilot. An airy, hypnotising sound floods each track with a sadness that is inseparable from the band's identity. It's all about letting go against a backdrop of lyrics that are rarely filled with wonder, the fruit of reflection deep in the subconscious and personal experience. Born in 2019, Dresscode is the story of a reunion based on a shared passion for music and an uncontrollable desire to get back on stage.
