Karen Dió, the viral punk star who has been grabbing attention on the internet left and right, has released an all new track: Stupid. The song packs a punch of pure angst and embodies the punk spirit of the most iconic women who built the scene like Joan Jett, and Veruca Salt. Raw, energizing, and rebelliously catchy, the song arrives in tandem with the announcement of Dio’s forthcoming EP: My World. She also announces her first headlining show of 2024, taking place in London on October 23rd.

The show will mark her first headline show outside of Brazil. Dió’s raucous, DIY punk anthems have commanded attention across seas all the way from her birthplace of Brazil, where she first laid the foundation for her bustling career. Now, Dió has found global appeal in her music, and is representing Brazilian rock music in a big way. Her unique sound has caught the attention of Sum 41, Fred Durst, Kenny Hoopla, and more.

 Karen Dió shares:
‘My World’ sealed my comeback to the music industry, reassuring that here, making music, is where I belong. It’s the first music I wrote after a 2 year break. The songs are short, real, catchy, and straight to the point!" The title track has a mix of Joan Jett with a Veruca Salt. That song is about my realisation that music is what I am meant to be doing with my life. Whether it’s in front of 10,000 people or just alone in my room, I will still be writing songs. Stupid is one of my favourite songs on the EP. It rips. It has this 2000’s punk rock energy which I love. It's about realising you had been naive and that you didn't stand up for yourself in certain situations."
