Founded by the up-and-coming guitar phenomenons Sonia Anubis (CRYPTA, Ex-BURNING WITCHES) and Sebastian Silva (UNTO OTHERS). COBRA SPELL is slithering its way into the revival era of the 80’s Glam and Heavy Metal sound. The worldwide sleaze quintet is completed with Alexx Panza (HITTEN) on vocals, Sonia Anubis on Lead Guitar, Esmée Van Sinderen on Rhythm guitar, Angelina Vehera on Bass and Léonard Cakolli on Drums.
Second founder Sebastian Silva, is still being involved with the band activities and lyrics writing as a low-key member of the band. In September 2020, the band released their debut EP titled Love Venom. The songs paint a glistening image of night-life fun, reckless lust and sleazy love. Love Venom is an EP driven with many shred guitar parts, hook infused vocals and thunder-like rhythm sections. With this release, the band saw many positive reviews worldwide, pushing their drive to make new music even further.
In December 2021, the band gathered up in Madrid, Spain, to record their second EP. Anthems Of The Night was recorded in December 2021 at PKO Studios. Produced, mixed and mastered by Alejandro Gabasa Barcoj from Comeback Studios. The band meticulously crafted 4 new songs, aptly fit for a summer’s night drive with the top down and the music loud. They also shoot their first videoclip, for the song “Addicted To The Night”.
COBRA SPELL is armed and ready to take on the stage, with a hunger to put on a show that will leave audiences around the globe speechless and wanting more.
Addicted To The Night starts with raging guitars and a very good sound! It feels like a smoking hot track from the start. The vocals and backings sound like a metal band from the 80’s (and I’m a fan). The backings gives it a sweet touch.
Steal My Heart Away sounds like a Bon Jovi take out: a smocking rocker with sweet vocals and a very sexy male touch in the vocals! Get touched by the catchy and sweet feeling!
The Midnight Hour starts like a smoking rocker with a retro attitude! Alexx shows off his great vocal powers! It’s really a great track! I’m sure you will have a good feeling listening to it!
Accelerate is the hardest and fastest song on this EP with a lot of screaming (high tones). The song goes in like a bad ass hair metal track!
It’s a nice and short EP: perfect to introduce them to you! Next step is seeing them on stage!
