German cult EBM act ARMAGEDDON DILDOS return with the 2nd EP taken from their last “Dystopia” album featuring 6 previously unreleased songs and mixes.

Destruction nicely represents the album’s dichotomic sound hanging between hard and aggressive electro industrial and more melodic danceable 80’s influences synth music dixit the promo talk. Well for me it’s a good EBM and dancefloor minded track with cool backings and a really good tempo. The sound is pretty modern and doesn’t remind you of 1.000 other bands doing exactly the same with old gear from the 80’s. I just would have skipped or kept it clean: the computer minded vocal part halfway.

Destruction (darkroom mix) Uwe Kanka also totally reinvented this title song through his own “darkroom” mix, with different vocals and a fully revamped instrumentations making it sound like an all new song with a certain familiar feel. This version really sounds cool and is the perfect alternative version, however it goes a bit more out of the classic EBM path (and is in fact a good thing). I once again adore the more modern sound!

Colder is an exclusive and previously unreleased powerful and hard-hitting groovy EBM track that will quickly storm the underground dancefloors! If I could I would add those 3 songs already to my i-tunes list!

Time for the remixes and first one is: Ohne Dich (with or without mix by Aiboforcen). No It’s not a weird cover version of the Rammstein hit with the same name! We even hear some French here. The song is not bad.

Burn Baby Burn (hot alien mix by Alien Vampires) has indeed that typical Alien Vampires (I liked them since I discovered them ages ago) touch and that makes it a hot track for clubbers! This to dance or not to dance, but you will dance in the end and scream the title along!

Dance On Dead Bodies (kick your body mix by Lights Of Euphoria) sounds ok and mixes a modern sound with classic EBM. The lyrics are kept very catchy. The breakdown takes a bit down the excellent tempo, but gives the lyrics more meaning. The more you listen to it the more it becomes catchy.

Ohne Dich (toi et moi mix by Messiaen Noir) is already the last one on this EP and thus closes this one. The promo talks about a more avantgarde melodic electronic ending. Sure thing is that it sounds more like a futuristic space synth from the 80’s. The second part of the song is better.

Well it’s a good one and a good introduction if you haven’t listened yet to their new album. I can’t speak for those who already listened to it. Enjoy!
