With their new single "Broken Empires / Lost World", the Mexican industrial-electro legends Hocico once again present a possible chart topping piece of art! Completing this endgame scenario from Hocico is the merciless and ever-present track "Lost World", which delivers punchy and pessimistic lyrically content to the max. Hocico’s music provides the listener energy. “This Energy is like yoga within the chaos”, says the band. Hocico are globally known as innovators in the dark and industrial scene.

Erk Aicrag comments on the maxi-cd:

"'Lost World' is a song that brutally describes the world in which we live right now, we know whatever is coming, the world we knew before is not gonna go back again. The remixes of “Broken Empires” are full of energy! Personally, I like the extended version a lot, we might use that one for the live shows."

And Racso Agroyam states:

“'Lost World' is a track that invites you to dance all night, it contains pure aggressive energy for the underground clubs."

HOCICO are looking forward to “completing and releasing our new album in 2021 and hopefully, we get to tour the globe with it afterwards”, says Erk.

Broken Empires (Radio Version) is a slow grower filled with darkness and filled with the right beats whilst the vocals are harsh and razor sharp! Towards the end the tempo goes up and gives it a clubland touch.

Lost World presents us a possible dancefloor filler: let your body go and enjoy it whilst foot stomping! Work out alle the frustration, the rage … It’s a blast! Next is an even darker version of Broken Empires (Hell Club - Hocico Version): it is indeed a hot track!

Broken Empires (Extended Version): explores the complete possibilities of this track and gives you more time to dig it and get into the right feel. Broken Empires (Remixed by Chaos Vector) is for me the best remix as it maxes the original sharper and harder. This version also gives it a warmer and more complete sound!

Well: they did it again! Great work and good crafting! Ready to rumble on stage!

ABOUT THE MUSIC VIDEO:

Accompanying the release of HOCICO’s new single, Erk explains, “we found it interesting - the idea of making a video where we are not part of it. This time we want to deliver the message separating ourselves visually from it to create an unusual feeling on the audience. We found an actress in Canada who performed the song in front of the camera, it’s a simple but powerful idea.”
