Never heard of these Swedish heavy metal folks, but when I listened to the first track of the album I was sold! I liked the cool licks and catchy chorus! Let’s discover them together!

Some info from the label:

Long-time friends Kristoffer Göbel and Christoffer Borg decided to put the band together while mixing the first album ‘The Six Foot Six Project’, in 2018. Göbel recorded it as a solo effort, but a real, tight and hungry band emerged in the process. Two years later, Six Foot Six are going to leave a mark in the international heavy metal scene with their new and exciting record. ‘End of All’ is a powerful collection of songs that showcases all the various faces of Six Foot Six: the melodic side, the epic side, even the dark side. Leaded by Göbel’s amazing, pristine and charismatic voice, the Swedish quartet will take you to a breath taking metal journey based on the pillars of this genre, but with a modern sound and a very contemporary feeling. It’s the end of all, indeed, and the real beginning of something unique and captivating…

Welcome to Your Nightmare starts softly, but once the guitars jump into the game you know it’s getting real. Once Göbel starts to sing I was sold as I really adore his clean voice and the way he uses it! The backings give the chorus a very catchy touch. The guitar play sounds very cool and the drums don’t sound too loud. It’s a hit single! End of All starts with the drums on lead, gets some catchy backings, but stays on calm waters for a while. Göbel’s voice almost sounds like glorious (and his voice goes pretty high). Towards the end the guitars take over and it gets a bit more a show off (I even hear a bit of electronics). In God We Trust is the kind of thing you hear a lot if you love to watch movies and series about the medieval times and in heavy metal bands who love to sing about fighting. It sounds like a cool mix between Iron Maiden and Manowar. The chorus is once again very catchy as if it’s their trademark! Just sad for them that I’m a atheist. In The Eyes Of The World sounds like some who are ignoring the COVID-19 disease (for the rest a really good track with a good tempo, cool licks and even greater vocals).Blood Will Out sounds like a classic combat metal track but with a really good voice and no harsh screaming. Last Days of Our Lives goes a bit faster and has a high Iron Maiden influence, with a melancholic sauce. Finale Vittoria starts calmly, the lyrics in the beginning tell the story of the song. However it’s all about a time traveller, I hear a more medieval touch in the song. Some parts of the song are sung in Italian, rendering the medieval touch (as it sounds like Latin). Abducted sounds very melodic. I would describe it as combat metal sung with a clean voice. I like the waves that the guitar make around the chorus. I Am Your King sounds heavy, even the voice has changed (darker and heavier with a deeper bass and a metallic accent). The bass is rambling a lot too and is really upfronted. Edge Of The World starts with a bluesy/melancholic feel and sounds more laid back. I adore it! Oblivion has a small 80’s touch and a lot of melancholia. Great backings! Last one is Break The Wheel and has a cool rambling bass and a melodic sound with a slice of 80’s rock/metal in it. It’s a nice end for this great album!

Six Foot Six is for sure a band worth following from now on! I hope to hear more from them and who knows: even see them on stage in 2022!
