Summer is here and nothing better then the soft sound of Maple Glider with Friend that makes you dream and come to rest and lay down whilst enjoying this magical music trip! It's without any doubt single of the week for us!

Molly Burman – Debt

19 year old Molly Burman has made real inroads these last couple of months with her debut single proper, "Fool Me With Flattery" and last month's "Everytime" both picking up strong press, radio and fan support internationally. She follows up with another slice of gold in perhaps her most immediate song yet, with the empower-pop smarts of "Debt".

Molly has the following to say about the themes: “I wanted to make a fun, groovy song that people could dance to, but also wanted to get out my frustration. No one owes you their body just because you bought them a drink or were nice to them, we aren’t here to make you feel good about yourself, we’re just trying to go out and have a boogie, so leave us the hell alone!"

Shibashi – All The Lights (embargo 01/07)

Brazil born, Belfast based Shibashi AKA Gigi Monterro today drops his long awaited debut track ‘All the Lights’ featuring Aoife from Whenyoung.  Inspirative and uplifting, ’All the Lights’ is the perfect blend of alt-pop, catchy vocals and buoyant beats guaranteed to be a big hit on dancefloors and festivals this summer.

Shibashi said “The song was inspired by a fleeting romance at an Ipanema beach party involving too much cachaça.  It was recorded between London and Belfast. The music tries to capture sounds from the party and the place. Vocals come from the wonderful Aoife whenyoung.  The song was in demo form for so long but really came alive when Aoife sang it. Her voice tessellates with the music perfectly.”

LUMP – We Cannot Resist (radio edit)

LUMP is the collaboration between Grammy award nominee Laura Marling and Mercury Prize-winning producer and musician Mike Lindsay from Tunng. Inspired by hedonism, Lump explain 'We Cannot Resist' as a massive pop track that’s been twisted. Launching with a beautiful and compelling video featuring 'thee lump'. Already released from LUMP : ‘Animal’ and ‘Climb Every Wall’.

 Dave Okumu – RTN

After years working mostly behind the scenes, Dave Okumu is now stepping in to the spotlight with a debut solo project.  Already one of Britain’s most respected and sought-after songwriters, producers and musicians, Okumu has collaborated with an array of artists, including; Arlo Parks, Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien, St Vincent, Tony Allen, Jessie Ware, Grace Jones, David Lynch and Adele.  He is also the founder, singer and guitarist of Mercury nominated band The Invisible.  Okumu will release his first full-length offering, Knopperz, on 24th September via Transgressive Records.  The wholly instrumental album unites hip-hop, jazz and experimental electronic music.  Partly a homage to J Dilla’s classic Donuts, the record is also inspired by, and uses elements of, friend and pianist Duval Timothy’s album, Sen Am.  ‘RTN’ is the first single.

Maple Glider – Friend

Last Friday Australian singer-songwriter Maple Glider aka Toru Zietsch released stunning debut album ‘To Enjoy Is The Only Thing’ via Partisan Records. Over plucked acoustic guitar or deftly weighted piano chords, Zietsch shares vignettes of her life throughout the album; moments both unremarkable and life-altering, but always deeply felt, brought to vivid life by the beauty of Tori’s artistry and wry sense of dark humour. It’s an album full of brittle intimacies and effortlessly balanced instrumentation (not a note wasted).
