BrainFreeze Records is een nieuw platenlabel dat medio november het levenslicht zag in ons eigen land. Het 3-koppig initiatief wil zich toeleggen op (pop)punkrock. 'NΓ³g een punkrock label?' zult u vragen. We laten u even meelezen wat het label daar zelf over te vertellen heeft:
'BrainFreeze Records is a 3 man initiative with the intent of spreading as much quality pop/punk/rock as humanly possible.
Why, do you ask? Why another punkrock label? Aren't there enough already? The answer, my friends, is NO...
There are so many great punkrock bands that don't succeed in getting their music out there. And that's where we step in.
It doesn't matter whether you're singer fails at nailing the highest screams or your guitar player can play an astounding 600 note solo in 2 seconds. If you have punkrock in your veins and the passion to make something out of it, you are more than qualified to be on our label. On any label for that matter.

Vandaag werd meteen ook de eerste band bekend gemaakt die bij Brainfreeze Records een contract heeft getekend: niemand minder dan onze Waaslandse vrienden van Heads Up High, die ons eerder dit jaar al wisten te verbazen met hun debuutcd 'Instant Karma'. Hun onmiddellijke toekomst is dus verzekerd en de promomachine kan opgestart worden!
